In this blog, we will delve into the latest enhancements and functionalities introduced in the CRM module of Odoo 17.
New User Interface
When you open the CRM module it will display like this:
Add CRM Leads in Spreadsheet/Article/Dashboard
Odoo’s updated user interface and replaced the “Action” menu with a new icon called “Pipelines” within the “My Pipelines” section. Clicking on the “Pipeline” setting icon reveals a dropdown menu featuring options such as “Import Records,” “Knowledge,” “Dashboard,” and “Spreadsheet.” The “Import Records” list allows you to download Pipeline Data.
Add Pipelines in an Article
The “Knowledge” option allows users to insert the Pipeline data or view an article. On the other hand, by clicking on “Insert view in article” and “Insert link in article” options you can add a new page view and link to an article. To add a page view to an article, click on “Insert view in article,” and a pop-up window will appear, as shown below.
You can use the “New” option to create a new article or choose an existing one. In this way, you can see the specific page view. With this feature, you can create any articles, notes, references, etc.
The Odoo enables you to share the article via Web and E-mails by utilizing the “Share” button.
You can use the “Add Icon,” “Add Properties,” and “Add Covers” buttons to add icons, Cover Images, and Properties. Just like the previous method, you can also use the “Insert link in article” option.
Dashboard & Spreadsheets
To add specific Pipelines on your dashboard, select the “Dashboard” option. Once you have added the pipeline, refresh the window, and you are all set. You can easily download a spreadsheet with pipeline data by utilizing the Spreadsheet option.
Search View and Filters
In Odoo 17, the search view has been shifted to the top center of the screen. The options for “Filter,” “Group by,” and “Favorites” are now combined into a convenient “Search” tab in the latest version. This not only gives the new user interface a tidy appearance but also streamlines the search process that shows in the below screenshot.
You also have the option to switch the dashboard view to List, Calendar, Pivot, Map, and Activity views using the corresponding icons located in the top right corner of the window.
Add products from Catalog: The new feature has been introduced by Odoo known as “Catalog” within its “Order lines.” This allows users to add products directly from the “Products” catalog in the Odoo Database. The user can easily access it through the “Products” window, and choose products using the “Add” button on Kanban Cards, search and filter products through the “Search” bar, After that they can easily return to the configuration form by using the “Back to Quotation” button, as shown in the below screenshot.
Sticky Headers
The new feature of sticky lists and Kanban will allow the users to anchor the header at the top of the screen to ensure its continuous visibility during download scrolling.
Search Message Option Available in Chatter
In Odoo 17, it’s now easier for users to find what they need in conversations. They’ve added a search option right in the chatter of form views. This cool feature allows you to get the relevant info easily without leaving the conversation thread. It’s like a shortcut to find and access the important info in Odoo 17.
Chatter: Message and note translations
With this new feature of Odoo 17, users can easily translate messages and notes in the chatter.
Teams Menu
In order to streamline lead and opportunity management, along with other CRM-related tasks, the “Teams” option within the “Sales” menu of the CRM module offers a centralized platform for efficient management of all sales teams.
In the Kanban preview, you can instantly see the total count of Open Opportunities, Unassigned Leads, Quotations, Orders to Invoice, along with their corresponding estimated revenues.
Each Kanban View has a vertical menu that enables you to explore Opportunities, Sales Orders, and Invoices assigned to that specific team. With the help of “New” option team members can create new Opportunities. Under the “Reporting” menu, you can access reports on the team’s activities. Also, the “Configuration” button allows you to make adjustments to the team. Opting for the “Pipeline” button enables you to navigate the associated sales team’s pipeline, as illustrated below.
Automation Rules
With automation rules, you can easily move leads or opportunities from different stages on the basis of specific conditions. For example, if a lead responds, a rule can advance them to the next stage. It’s like a smart way to handle things without manual work.
Send emails when something changes, archive records after a month of inactivity, or set reminders for task follow-ups when a specific tag is added. With automation rules, you can simplify any workflow.
