Oddo 14 CRM Features

With the introduction of the Odoo 14 roadmap and Odoo 14 expected features, there have been many speculations about the Odoo 14 benefits. Launched in 2005, with the name of Tiny ERP, Odoo has evolved out to be the forerunner in the league of ERPs. Reason? Easy to operate and Customize.

In the case of other ERPs, the user has to perform several ERPs for different segments. In the case of Odoo, more than 35 modules like sales, marketing, inventory, and warehouse, etc. can be operated from a single dashboard.

Customer’s Voice first

As Odoo 14 is yet to be launched in a big event from September 30th to October 2nd, the roadmap of Odoo 14 features has already been announced. In the roadmap session, Nathan Grognet, the Product Manager of Odoo, highlighted various qualifiers through which they consider feedback to be an upcoming feature of the Odoo. Most of the Odoo 14 expected features are derived from the input. Means, the feedback from users, app companies, and whoever works on/with Odoo ERP are considered and converted into the app features. Odoo’s research and development department work on the ERP’s feedback, and they decide whether feedback should be a feature. Nearly 60% of the input from the users is considered to be a feature.

Implementation of Feedback

Implementation of feedback is the main essence of Odoo and one of the main factors behind the success of Odoo ERP. Most of the ERP providers work on the research and development, and that’s why their budget goes high, so is costing too. Introduced as Tiny ERP in 2005, Odoo is affordable yet powerful in comparison to other ERPs available. We have seen Odoo evolving to be a great producer. To be a great producer, you have to work on feedback from the clients.

For Rental Orders

In the new CRM feature of Odoo, Odoo has introduced the addition of Rental Orders. In the CRM module, when any opportunity is created, the user can see the ‘New Rental’ button in which the user can add any particular product to create the rental orders. Additionally, the user can set the time limit where the company can add the rental period. This button is only visible once you install the Rental module in Odoo.

Button to Update Leads Probability

Through a lead probability update button, the user will regenerate the frequency table and recompute all the leads’ probability. This can be useful after changing the start date( you need to save first) or to ensure every lead probabilities are up to date. This can take up to several minutes, depending on the number of leads.

Outlook CRM Extension

This feature will be beneficial for integrating leads into CRM with the help of Microsoft Outlook. You can turn emails received in your outlook mailbox leads and log their content as internal notes through this feature.

Conclusion

Through these small and user-friendly features, Odoo is evolving itself to be a customer-centric company because these little things matter a lot in the IT industry. Furthermore, with the introduction of these kinds of features, small and medium-size businesses can introduce a new vertical. Another positive aspect of Odoo v14 for CRM is easy to update the leads and outlook CRM extension. Now, the users who work with the data on the leads, like the sales and marketing team, can easily integrate all the leads with the help of Odoo v14.
